Privacy Policy

What we collect
- Contact and access requests: your name, email address and the message you send us.
- Newsletter and accounts: your email address, an invite code if you have one, and login events. We sign you in with a magic link; we do not store passwords for the research newsletter.
- Strategies you submit: the code, rules and files you upload for evaluation, and the conversations in the evaluation chat.
- Hedge AI Labs usage: the strategies, scanners and questions you create, and simulated-account activity. Simulated accounts hold no real funds.
- Billing: if you buy credits, payment is handled by our payment processor. We receive a confirmation and the last four digits of the card; we never see or store full card numbers.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps, collected in server logs for security and to keep the service running.
How we use it
- To send you the research you asked for and reply to your messages.
- To run evaluations and Hedge AI Labs features you request, and to email you results.
- To secure the services: rate limiting, abuse prevention and blocking of abusive addresses.
- To improve our methodology. Published evaluations are anonymized, and your code is published only with your consent.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it with advertisers.
Who else sees it
- Service providers that host our servers, deliver email and process payments, each only to perform that service.
- Market-data and AI providers: strategy rules and questions may be sent to third-party market-data and language-model APIs to produce your results. We do not send your name or email with them.
- Legal: if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of Tireon or others.
Cookies
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in after a magic-link login, and browser storage for preferences such as a remembered tab. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Retention
Contact messages and access requests are kept for as long as needed to respond and for our records. Account data and submitted strategies are kept while your account is active and deleted on request. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security.
Your choices
- Every research email has an unsubscribe link.
- You can ask us to show, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, or to delete a submitted strategy, through the contact form. We respond within 30 days.
Children
Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
We will post any changes on this page with a new effective date. Material changes are announced by email to subscribers.
